Big Brothers, Big Sisters of Central New Mexico, Boys and Girls Club of Central New Mexico and Junior Achievement
This year’s award was granted to a partnership between Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central New Mexico, Boys and Girls Club of Central New Mexico and Junior Achievement of New Mexico. They are the 2018 winner of the Jennifer Riordan Educate2Elevate Grant. The JRE2E Grant is an innovative grant opportunity bringing together funders from across Albuquerque to pool resources to create a high impact grant to support middle school initiatives that advance future educational, personal and/or professional pathways for students in grades 6, 7 and 8.
Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central New Mexico, Boys and Girls Club of Central New Mexico and Junior Achievement of New Mexico have been awarded $50,000 for their JAMS partnership. JAMS, a job readiness, academic success, mentoring, and service learning initiative, is an onsite, one-to-one mentoring and impactful educational, out-of-school time and career readiness program offered year-round and afterschool in safe locations for at-risk youth to learn and grow.
